How we look after your information when you enquire with Flourish & Flotts.
Last updated: 22 June 2026
Who we are
Flourish & Flotts (“we”, “us”) is a luxury wedding cake business run by Tasha Ardron, based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please get in touch using the contact details in the footer of this site, or via ourcontact form.
The information we collect
When you complete our enquiry form, we collect the details you choose to provide:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Wedding details — date, venue, guest numbers, cake inspiration and budget
- Any message or information you include
Our website host and security tools also process limited technical data, such as your IP address, to keep the site secure and prevent spam.
How and why we use it
We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry, discuss your wedding cake or dessert table, prepare a quote, and provide our service if you go ahead. We do not use it for marketing, and we never sell it. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Who we share it with
We only share data with trusted providers who help us run the site and respond to you:
- Resend — delivers your enquiry to our inbox by email
- Upstash — helps protect the form from spam (processes IP addresses)
- Vercel — hosts the website, processes standard server logs, and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place. We do not share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you book, to provide and keep records of our service. If your enquiry doesn’t lead to a booking, we’ll delete it once it’s no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, just get in touch using the contact details in the footer or our contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) atico.org.uk.
Cookies & analytics
We keep cookies to a minimum. This website does not use advertising cookies, and we don’t profile you or follow you around the web.
We use a small amount of essential, functional storage in your browser to remember your cookie preference so we don’t ask you on every visit. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
To understand how our site is used (for example, which pages are popular), we useVercel Web Analytics. This is a privacy-friendly, cookielessanalytics tool — it does not store cookies on your device, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other websites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date above.
